It has tons of new mechs, vee's and weapons/gear.
BATTLETECH HEAVY METAL GAUSS AMMO MOD
Just use a mod for case and other lostech weapons. Just make sure you don't have a big repair list. There's also a Morgan Kell event where if you have 500K C-Bills you can net yourself two double heat sinks. Oh, there's Flashpoint in the Capellan Confederation where you can make Liao angry and claim a Royal Griffin (makes a great SRM-6 boat). Just hope Heavy Metal adds stuff like CASE or the LB-10X as new LosTech.and maybe make it easier to find the Royal Black Knight. I know many swear by New Vandenburg as a good place (nearly bankrupted my company on my Ironman Restoration playthrough to get a Royal Highlander - also found a Royal Highlander on Illiushin on a different playthrough), but I've seen an ER PPC drop on Kimi and I think Gauss ammo on a different planet. Not to mention the damage dropoff that quickly follows after (fully quirked. But the tonnage invested with it, its a bad ratio.

With ammo nodes invested, i am at 49 shots. With a mauler 1P, 2 heavy gauss rifles, 4 erml and a std 280. The Target Dummy mechs you should've encountered in the very first campaign tutorial mission. The rest look like unique flashpoint/story mechs that you can't get.
